This has been both a difficult and enjoyable piece to work on. Apart from Kizzy the cat in the middle all the other pets had passed away. The photographs of Shooter the horse and Brachan the Retriever weren't very good to work from. I had to use some photos off the internet that were similar to give me some detail. It was quite challenging getting all the subjects to fit nicely on the paper. Finished portrait was 24x18.
CUSTOMER COMMENTS.
Well got the finished article hung in restaurant at her table. She managed to cry through three courses and coffee. She loves it. The most amazing bit was when she brought it home the last cat took a weird turn and started licking the pastel of her brother, unreal. Will send a photo of the whole thing soon.
Thanks again it just went down brilliantly.
Regards Iain
ARTISTS COMMENTS
I don't usually comment on Customer comments but felt in this case I'd just like to add a few words. It's not uncommon for the recipient to have such a strong reaction to their portrait especially if their pets have passed away. What has also happened in a few cases is that a pet has reacted, like Kizzy did, to the portrait. I take it as a great compliment that our furry friends appreciate my work. Thank you.
